    AI Audio Overviews

In 2026, AI Playback (also known as AI Audio Overviews) is a native feature in Google Chrome, primarily on Android devices, that converts webpages into conversational, podcast-like audio.

Play AI Audio Overview is an excellent product

This feature demonstrates the real-world power of AI. The conversational overview of the webpage content is far better than expected. The overview is presented in a friendly conversational tone. All essential content is discused by the guy and girl.

The “Play Audio Overview” can be used on each page of my website. I enjoy stepping through the individual pages of websites, listening to the friendly discussion of the webpage content. It encourages me to listen to every page of the website.

I find the “Play Audio Overview” feature to be far superior to any text to audio product. Only the most important content is discussed in the Audio Overview. Any lengthy descriptions are not included, as the listener can view the webpage to read the lenthy descriptions.

    Interesting discovery

I initially found the “Play Audio Overview” feature by accident. I had seen the “play arrow” in the address bar when visiting various websites on my Samsung Mobile phone. When I was viewing www.acajou.co.nz I tapped the “play arrow”. It was amazing! A perfect overview was played in an entertaining conversational tone by the guy and girl.

I thought that the only way this could be any more perfect would be if the “Play Audio Overview” would work on every individual page. I tried each page and “Play Audio Overview” worked perfectly on each and every page.

I then visited my own website at www.totalsupport.co.nz. There was no “Play Audio Overview Play arrow” in the “address bar”. I rotated the phone to the Landscape mode and the “Play arrow” appeared. I have since discovered that it is necessary to “swipe down” to refresh the page on some websites to make the “Play Audio Overview Play arrow” appear in the address bar at the top of the page.

Well done Google Gemini! This is an exceptionally good implementation of AI. I enjoy listening to your entertaining guy and girl providing website overviews.
